My Name is Rose

My Name is Rose and I live in Tumaini Children’s Home. I have one brother whose name is Victor who is here too. We are both glad that we found a home here in Tumaini.

My daily prayer to God is, to bless all the well wishers, sponsors and donors who have taken a great role in molding our future.

I love the Manager, matrons and all the staffs in Tumaini.

I go to Riamukurwe Primary school and I am in class 5. I go to church every Sunday at Rev.Naaman Githenya Memeorial church. I study so hard to become a doctor and help my brother and other people.

Thank you all who have brought a great change in my life.

Partnering for Hope

The Tumaini Children's Ministry is a unique partnership of the Ramiakurwe Parish of Nyeri, Kenya, a part of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), a network of Presbyterian churches in the United States, and several other key partners.

Presbyterian Church of East Africa is a Presbyterian denomination headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. It was started by missionaries from Scotland . The PCEA has approximately 4,000,000 members and over over 1,000 congregations. It operates numerous schools and hospitals in Kenya, along with a Presbyterian university in Nairobi.

A CALL TO SERVICE

As a parish we heeded the call to go and make disciples for the lord regardless of location.Jesus commision was"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."

What We do

• To give a home to the homeless.

• Provision of spiritual nourishment.

• Provision of formal education, technical skills and medical care.

• Rescue and rehabilitate abandoned, neglected and abused children.

• Provides support and care for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS and other natural causes.

• Provide opportunities and equal chances to the less privileged children.

• Providing counseling services to the abused, pained and traumatized children.

• To enlighten children on their rights, encourage and assist them to speak on injustices inflicted upon them.

• Report on matters that affect children to the relevant authorities.
